Bollywood actor Sunny Deol is reportedly the first in the industry to own the powerful Land Rover Defender Octa.
Sunny Deol, the renowned Bollywood actor and politician, is known for his love of travel—especially road trips. His latest adventure took him to the breathtaking landscapes of Ladakh, and photos from the trip have been making waves on social media. What made this journey even more special was his choice of vehicle: the newly acquired Land Rover Defender Octa, a high-performance upgrade of the luxury SUV.

According to reports, Sunny Deol embarked on this road trip shortly after wrapping up the shoot for his upcoming film, Border 2. One of the standout moments captured in photos shows him posing in front of his Defender Octa at the Baralacha La mountain pass—an impressive altitude of 16,040 feet. It appears that the actor personally drove the SUV to the high-altitude destination, showcasing both his adventurous spirit and trust in the vehicle’s capabilities.
This isn’t his first mountain road trip. A few years ago, after purchasing his first Land Rover Defender 110 in Fuji White, Sunny took it for an off-road spin across the mountainous regions of North India. That earlier model demonstrated impressive performance, but the Octa takes things to the next level with its matte grey/green finish and aggressive design elements.
Priced at around ₹2.8 crore (ex-showroom), the Land Rover Defender Octa Edition One comes with several enhancements over the standard model. These include redesigned front and rear bumpers, a larger front grille, wider side wheel arches, new 20-inch alloy wheels, and a sporty quad exhaust system.

Under the hood, the Octa Edition One is powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with mild-hybrid support. This setup produces an astonishing 626 horsepower and 750 Nm of peak torque, delivered through an 8-speed automatic transmission—making it one of the most powerful Defenders ever built.
